PROCEDURE

Time allocated for lesson: Each session is 30 minutes.
Describe what will happen during class: How will students engage in learning? Create a coherent and specific process.
Students will engage in learning through our presentation that incorporates numerous connections to student/social life. The presentation will have the students very active and alert for we have many activities for them during our lesson. We hope to involve the students in a “hands on presentation” where they will be deeply involved.

-YouTube Clip (Big Bang Theory Utilitarianism)
-Introduction Questions (Schoology Response)
-PowerPoint Presentation (Utilitarianism) (Presentation Questions?)
-Reflection on Utilitarianism (Survey assessing class on lesson)

ASSESSMENT, PERFORMANCE TASKS, PROJECTS (Describe how students will demonstrate what they learned, how they learned it, and the learnings significance)
To start our lesson off, we will ask students, by means of schoology, general questions involving Utilitarianism that serve as a time for students to individually connect to the philosophy without previous knowledge. During our presentation we will incorporate questions and small activities for the students to do so that we keep them involved and enhance their knowledge of the subject. Lastly we will give the students a reflection/assessment on Utilitarianism about what they think it is and to recognize situations in their lives where it applied to them, in order to give them an emotional connection with the topic.
